GlowStep Revolution

GlowStep Revolution

Available in our Parts Store!

The GlowStep Revolution is the first and only step system designed for all RV towables that is versatile and flexible to adapt to any type of terrain.
The step entry system is revolutionary for several reasons. Featuring 7 inches of precision elevation adjustment, the GlowStep Revolution has 3 positions of upper adjustment between the RV entry and top step, plus an additional 5 positions of lower adjustment with the All Terrain Landing Gear adjustable feet. Connecting firmly to ground level regardless of terrain, the GlowStep Revolution achieves optimum configuration in any instance. The easy bolt-on installation fits into the factory step compartment, replacing factory steps.
By connecting the RV to the ground (Earth to RV) the unstable and unsafe diving board feeling associated with factory steps is completely eliminated. With a locking mechanism and quick release lever, the step system for towables easily lowers and raises. In most cases the steps provide a significant improvement in ground clearance while traveling compared to a factory trailer step.
Just like a staircase found in your home, the GlowStep Revolution entry step system is extraordinarily sturdy with a level of stability that is simply unmatched. The self illuminating steps also glow in the dark for up to 10 hours with no batteries needed – just five minutes of light exposure. Made from 100% rust-free aircraft grade aluminum, the trailer steps have SureGrip™ built-in tread that creates a no-slip surface. The step's adjustable features are like planting roots each time you deploy the steps, giving you that feeling of security everywhere your RV takes you. With GlowStep Revolution, you know your family can safely enter your trailer or fifth wheel day or night, rain or shine and worry-free. Best of all, the steps are firmly planted so your unit no longer shakes back and forth with every entry and exit of pets or people.
Torklift International uses a specially engineered hinge assembly unlike any other in the industry. The unique bushing bearing design is used on each side of every hinge point on the steps, preventing the step hinges from coming loose over time. To maximize a lifetime of smooth action and ease of use, the RV steps are assembled carefully by hand and adjusted to precise torque. The bushings act as a bearing surface that can handle significant tension without over-stiffening the step configuration, a common problem found on rusting factory steps. Due to these features, Torklift's GlowStep line of RV steps guarantee longevity, durability and quality.
Unlike other trailer entry steps, the GlowStep Revolution is truly a complete step system. The system is tailored to you with the options of adding the GlowGuide Handrail, SafeStep pet barriers and DirtDestroyer shoe cleaning attachment. Available ranging from two to six steps, steps can easily be added and removed so you can take the GlowStep Revolution step entry system with you when you trade in for your next RV.
GlowStep Revolution comes backed by our Legendary Lifetime Warranty and is proudly made in the USA.

RV Part of the week - Kar Kaddy SS

Kar Kaddy SS

Not Just a Tow Dolly, it’s a Kar Kaddy.
Demco prides itself by offering a galvanized finish to the Kar Kaddy SS. This prevents rust and paint chips and the galvanized tongue and loading ramps stow away for storage. Just these features alone, set us apart from the competition. There is no need to worry about finish issues and the storage problem is solved. The SS in the logo stands for Space Saver.
Demco introduced the “steerable axle” to the industry in 1982. This is still used today on the Kar Kaddy SS and allows for a tighter 15% turning radius, the tightest in the industry, that tracks directly behind the motor home. The feature provides less sliding and binding of the tires but ultimately the tracking of the unit wins over the competition.

Looking for an RV? We have what you are looking for!

Looking for an RV?  We have what you are looking for!

There's an RV for every lifestyle and every budget!  Come on in and explore the different types of RV's and find the perfect one for your family!  From Tent Trailers to Class A Motorhomes you will find the RV that fits your every need.  Do you want extra storage, two bathrooms a fireplace or an outside kitchen?  Whatever it is you are looking for we can help you find it!  Check out the different types of RV's below to get you started.

Tent Trailer
Known as pop-up’s and fold-down trailers, these versatile, hard-working tent camping trailers have been a feature in many family histories. They are often bought as a first trailer, are lightweight enough to be towed by virtually any car and can be found in many lengths with options such as hot water, refrigerator, air conditioning and washrooms.

Hybrid Trailer

The hybrid travel trailer is a cross between a hard-sided travel trailer and a tent camping trailer with ends that pull out to offer more sleeping room. It’s lighter, often more affordable and can be towed by many popular family vehicles like mini-vans or SUVs.

Travel Trailer

The most common RV is the Travel Trailer. These compact homes can be towed by a car, SUV or pick-up truck and hauled all over the country. RV travel trailers come in endless sizes and many feature garages, roof top patios, bay windows, fireplaces, offices, hideaway beds, expanding sides, and lowering roofs. If you can dream it, chances are someone has already built a travel trailer to suit your needs.

Toy Hauler

The Toy Hauler RV is aptly named. Also know as a sport-utility RV, it allows you and your “toys” to travel to your favourite off-road destinations without leaving behind the comforts of home. Beds, dinettes and couches are typically designed to fold up against interior walls of the Toy Hauler RV to maximize rear cargo space for off-road vehicles such as ATVs, dirt bikes, jet skis, canoes, snowmobiles or motorcycles. But what really distinguishes the Toy Hauler from other RVs is a swing-down ramp that gives you easy access to all the fun.

Fifth Wheel

The spacious Fifth Wheels Trailer is towed by pick-up trucks using a special “fifth wheel” hitch. Known for high ceilings, lots of slide-out rooms and split level design, they’re the most spacious RVs available. But don’t let the size intimidate you, these comfortable RVs are easy to handle. Depending on the province you can even tow behind your Fifth wheel trailer.

Truck Camper

The Truck Camper RV gives you all the convenience and benefits of a trailer and still lets you take full advantage of your pickup truck’s towing abilities. It’s designed to sit in the truck bed with all the conveniences of a larger RV. Meanwhile, your truck is free to tow boats, car carriers, ATVs, snowmobiles or even a horse trailer.

Class A Motorhome

A Class A Motorhome is like a large luxury bus for you to call your own. The largest of RV motorhomes, they are constructed on a specially designed chassis and powered by either gas or diesel engines. Many Class A motorhomes have multiple slide-out sections that open up the living space and come with many options to make you feel at home like kitchens, bathrooms, entertainment centres and centrally controlled heating and air conditioning.

Class B Motorhome

Also called camper vans or conversion vans, Class B motorhomes are an engineering marvel! Kitchens, washrooms with showers and they sleep up to four people; all in a slightly stretched full-size van with a raised roof. A Class B Motorhome is easy to drive, fits in a normal parking space, is easy on fuel, and can be used as a second vehicle.

Class C Motorhome

With its distinctive cab-over bunk, The Class C motorhome is an icon and the star in many RV adventures. Class C Motorhomes look like nothing else on the market, and are built on a commercial cut-away van chassis and come with all the amenities of any motorhome, so there’s sure to be one that suits you.

Traveling Game - Counting Cows!

Road Trip Game - Counting Cows

It's the official start to the camping season, the May long weekend!  Here is a fun travel game that will avoid the "are we there yet" question.  It's fun for the whole family!

Counting Cows

Here's how to play:
Each person counts the cows they see and mark it down on a piece of paper, they get extra points for other animals/objects that you designate before the game starts.  If someone see's something, ie a golf course and calls it out then everyone else looses all their points and has to start over.  The person that has the most points at the end of the trip or the designated time wins :-)

Here is some idea for points:
  1. Cows = 1 point each
  2. Sheep or Goats (in place of cows) = 1 point each
  3. Barn = 5 points
  4. Bear = 25 points
  5. Deer = 10 points
  6. A white horse = other people loose 25 points
  7. Golf Course = everyone must start over but the person who spotted the course
Add anything that you know you will see on your road trip to make it fun, set up teams and split it up so each team can only count what's out the window on their side of the vehicle.

Happy Camping everyone!

The Best Reasons to go Camping!

The Best Reasons to go CAMPING!

  1. Let's you escape the hectic every day life - Camping is different than most vacations, when camping you can literally do nothing for an entire weekend.  You can prepare all your meals before leaving home so even meal prep is easy.  You don't have to do all that running around that you seem to have to do every weekend.  You could even turn off your electronic devises and be completely removed from that hectic every day life.
  2. Enjoy the fresh air - Spending time outdoors, in the fresh air, you take in more oxygen.  Just pay attention to that feeling you get when you take a deep breath of that fresh air.  That feeling of happiness is because of the breath of fresh air, it releases serotonin!  Think of all the health benefits from breathing in more fresh air and less pollutants
  3. You'll get a new appreciation of Mother Nature - From the majestic mountains to the ocean, lakes & rivers you can have your pick of what to do.  Hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking are only a few of the activities that you can do outdoors.  No experience will be the same, even if you've been to that campgound before, it's always a new experience.  To top it off... When was the last time you looked up at the night sky and saw the endless stars and if your lucky the Northern Lights!  Get a constellation map and you`ll be up for hours!
  4. A great night sleep - After your day of fresh air and your night of star gazing you'll have the best sleep!  Tucked away in your comfy RV, leave a window open to continue breating that fresh air, you will hear the crickets, frogs and, well, pretty much nothing and just let yourself drift away.  No traffic, sirens or horns, just the comforting smells & sounds of nature.
  5. Quality time with family & friends - Keep the electronic games and devices to a bare minimum.  Play a board game, cards or sit around the campfire and talk.  You'll be surprised at how much you laugh.  An old fashioned story time (ghost stories depending on your camping group) is a ton of fun, especially when everyone joins in!
  6. You can take your ENTIRE family! - Camping is a dog friendly, cat friendly, most pet's that live with you can go camping (of course there are some exceptions)! Here is a blog post that we wrote to give you tips on camping with your dog, stay tuned for a blog post on camping with your cat.
  7. Exercise - When camping you spend more time doing physical activities.  Even on a fishing trip your burning more calories than sitting at your desk at work or on your couch at home. You also have more energy to DO more activities, which of course makes you extra hungry to eat all that good camping food :-)
  8. Camping is affordable - When it comes to budgeting for your family vacation, camping wins hands down!  You can go on several trips throughout the camping season(s) for cheaper than taking your family on a trip where you need to fly, stay in a hotel, eat out & paying for the tourists activities.
